As we remember the cross, we see the chaos, the pain, and the vivid future it brings us all. We have gone astray, but He has brought us home. We have were assigned a grave, and He took our place, and did what we could not do- defeat it. The Cross was everything, but beautiful in the moment of the crucifixion. In His agony, Jesus brought victory. This is no cookie cutter cross. This painting by Phyllis shows the abstract, messy, painful, yet, life changing Cross. May we always be reminded of the sacrifice that brought us great victory. It is never something to forget.
