Bananas Ticomo, original oil painting
Just steps away from our front door when we lived in Nicaragua was a beautiful banana plant. This unfamiliar and fascinating plant captured my attention whenever I walked passed it and I marveled at the light and shadow affects created from the leaves in the brilliant Nicaraguan sunlight. I took a photo hoping one day to do an oil painting.
I painted Bananas Ticomo from one of my photos. Phyllis gave it the name Bananas Ticomo because we lived in an area of Managua called Ticomo.
