A painting by Phyllis Robertson Thomas
When we look at the redemption story of the cross, we see not
only are we regaining access to God, but we continuously are welcomed in
to his redeeming love. Phyllis painted this version of Isaiah 53 as a
representation of the redemptive story her life became. What the devil intended for evil,
God made for good in her and her father, Phil’s life. We all need a reminder that God
can turn anything around, and turn what is seemingly the worst of stories into
the the greatest of victories.
